A timely post.  I just got back from Howl and my thoughts are on the time I spent in the East Village.  I can’t count how often I’ve passed this mural but I do know that it’s one of those habitual landmarks I use when my internal compass is askew: when I get out of the subway and I’m momentarily disoriented by the stairs and the cabs and which way is traffic going - I know the brontosaurus is to the south.  So I’m probably headed the right way.
