GPOYW, via James Nord, who visited me in my hometown this weekend. I gave him the grand tour and we hit the important sites: the best climbing trees in the yard, my attic room, the quietly tiger-lilied streets of my little village at night and the low-tide beach. It’s a steep walk up the hill from the beach, but all the bars are at the top. The diviest on the corner had a sterno keeping warm a pan of rotini and meatballs. The locals were warming up to the bar in the usual way.
